This year, the Hanover Fair, held in the capital of Lower Saxony, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. And HARTING will be taking part for the 60th time. And the HARTING Technology Group will be presenting a varied program at this year’s industrial trade fair from April 16 - 20. In addition to new solutions in electrical and electronic connection technologies in industrial environments, HARTING will be showing its colors at the joint Automation IT stand. What’s more, HARTING is also taking part in the action and information programme designed to generate an enthusiasm for technology among young students and high school graduates.

The whole world of innovation is gathering in Hanover this spring. Around 6,150 exhibitors from 68 countries will be displaying their latest technological breakthroughs spreading out across an exhibition area covering some 204,000 square meters. And this year Turkey is partnering the Hanover Fair.

The doors of the exhibition center here in the capital of Lower Saxony finally open on April 16 to admit a stream of visitors from all over the world. From now until Friday, April 20, guests are invited to view the innovative range of HARTING products on Stand C13 in Hall 11. Here on HARTING’s main stand at the Hanover Fair, the focus is on solutions designed for device connectivity, installation and communications applications.

HARTING is renowned not only for its innovative developments, but also for quality and the continuity of established products. And this year the HARTING stand in Hall 11 definitely has a “hands-on” theme. Visitors who are technically minded will have the chance to get their hands on HARTING’s new Han-Quick Lock connector system and make their own connections. A great opportunity to experience the reliability and simplicity of this new system live and first-hand!

In addition, the Technology Group is also represented jointly with Cisco Systems, Inc., the US world market leader in networking solutions for the Internet, and 24 other partners at the Automation IT stand F17 in Hall 16. Here the partners are jointly presenting their time- and cost-saving solutions for Ethernet networking applications extending from the office through to the factory floor.

Several times a day visitors to the stand can hear a detailed explanation of what lies behind HARTING’s products and innovations in the field of connectors and system components voiced by a specialist of a very special kind. The well-known and highly popular science journalist and television presenter Jean Pütz will be explaining various subjects in his usual relaxed and easy style, and keeping visitors to the stand both informed and entertained.

“Customers and visitors to the HARTING stands in Hanover will be able to experience the entire range of our products and solutions,” commented proprietor Dietmar Harting. “And through our commitment to TectoYouth, we aim to make it clear that we are particularly concerned to generate enthusiasm for technology among young people.”

HARTING is a strong supporter of the Fair’s TectoYouth initiative. In fact the Espelkamp-based company is one of the principal sponsors of the programme. HARTING is represented at the Job & Career Market on stand D46-25 in Hall 2, at the RoboCup German Open 2007 in Pavilion 33 and at TectoYouth in Pavilion 8 in Hall 11. Not to mention the Night of Innovations on Friday, April 20, at the Hanover Fair. In recent weeks schools in the region surrounding HARTING’s headquarters have been singled out and invited to bring students with an interest in careers in technology along to the Fair. Young visitors can look forward to a varied programme including for example football-playing robots. As a high-tech company itself, HARTING aims through its commitment to TectoYouth to bring technology alive for young people – with excitement and variety.
