HARTING and Siemon Announce New Industrial Ethernet Connector in Robust Design
The Siemon Company, Watertown, CT, and HARTING Electric, Espelkamp, Germany, are pleased to release their new RJ45 based Industrial Ethernet Connector for harsh Industrial Environment. The new connector family, I-MAX Metal (Siemon) and Han-Max (HARTING), complements each company’s current Ethernet product offering.
This new connector is the fruit of a cooperative design effort between the two companies, leveraging each other’s expertise in the areas of high reliability coupling technologies and field cable termination techniques. The new connector with metal housings features bayonet locking and IP 67 protection withstanding corrosion and chemical influences. The robust design leads to a high shock and vibration resistant connector.
The Han-Max (HARTING) or I-MAX Metal (Siemon) uses Siemon’s MAX® technology, which fulfil the requirements of Cat. 5e. Plugs and Jacks are available as unshielded and screened TP versions. Device side covers panel feed through and bulkhead mounted version. In addition PCB mounting is possible.
HARTING Electric will offer the full range of metal based Han-Max (HARTING) connectors, shielded and unshielded. The Siemon Company will offer the Screened TP versions of the I-MAX Metal (Siemon) in addition to their IP 65 protected plastic version: I-MAX® (Siemon).
Han-Max (HARTING) and I-MAX Metal complete both company’s product range of Ethernet connections for industrial environments.
